It's not free, but if you already have MS Excel on your computer, it
does an excellent job. There are a few tricks to it but once it is set
up, it is quick and easy. Contact me if you need any help with it.

My thanks to those who responded. None of the programs suggested are quite
what I'm looking for, but meanwhile, after much trial and error, I have a
found way to make my own templates using Lotus WordPro 9.5, an old
word-processing program dating back to 1999 which still holds up amazingly
well. This allows me complete flexibility in designing text, pictures,
colours, etc. etc.

If you are designing from scratch, there is a free editing program
called Paint.NET Vs 3.05 I use it to blend elements from different
sources. I still use MS Excel for the actual printing.

Right, and John Howells in this newsgroup got me started on the Excel
worksheet that I now use to make all my inserts.
