Default DVD Region 2 to Region 1?

Well . . . . we're making progress. I managed to copy a copy protected disk
from region 2 onto a 8.5 GB DVD+RDL using DVD43. However . . . it is still
coded for region 2. Any cute tricks for making a copy that will play in
region 1?
