Compressing movie to fit SL DVD?

Is there any free software that someone could recommend that will
compress a movie that Nero or DVD fab says needs DL media, so that it
fits on a SL dvd (120 minutes,4.7 gig, 16X)?

Thank you so much. It was the complete answer to my problem. I love

I had similar problems with two titles. They should have fit on 2 SL disks.
DVDFab also told me to insert a DL disk. This was with version 5.20 of
DVDFAb. I then resurrected an older version, Version 4120, and had no
problem.
So for what it is worth, thought I want you to know.
