Can't fast forward, rewind or pause my DVD's

When I burn by own DVD's, I can't fast forward, rewind or pause my DVD's.
It seems the only function I do is play. The player says the disc doesn't
support these functions. I am using Ulead DVD Workshop to burn DVD's.

Is this an issue because of the software I am using?
