**DEATHLY slow to load. It may be quicker to burn, but I have no way to
compare, since I changed computers, when I changed versions of Nero. I hate
the new interface. It is a complete POS. The old version was vastly
superior.

> As long as you disable the dross that comes with it it's excellent.

**Shouldn't have to. Compared to the old version, the new one sucks. I
really don't care if it is a few seconds quicker, it takes me so ****ed long
to work out what to do, that I've lost any gains I may have had. I think
I'll give Roxio a go.

Stupid assumption. You dont even know what version he is using.

And like I said, thats a completely ****ed UI when there is no ripping involved anyway.

What matters is what he is using, ****wit.

I don't use Start Smart, and the interface of Burning
Rom hasn't changed substantially since version 5.

Or just keep using the old version?

Neither do you, but as to my original suggestion of
using Burning Rom, the interface is basically the same
whatever version he has.

The UI is fine.

I wasnt the one stupid enough to claim that all he needed to do was hit the
rip and burn button when you dont even know that he even has one of those.

> but as to my original suggestion of using Burning Rom, the interface is basically the same whatever version he has.

Nothing anything like any rip and burn button in mine.

And even when there is, thats a completely ****ed UI when there is no ripping whatever involved in his situation.

Well there is in mine Rod, version 8, but as I said I
don't use Start Smart, and the UI in Burning Rom,
which I use, hasn't much changed for years.
Simply select DVD Video and drag and drop the files,
easy as.
Version 8 is slower to load even with Scout disabled
but it converts video quicker and handles a wider
variety of formats.

Pity there is no rip and burn button in mine, and its a lot later than 5.

Irrelevant to the completely ****ed UI which has no rip and burn button.
