Advice DVD writer PC

My Plextor, PX-760A stopped working. The, Load / Eject works. Nero Info
tool reads it, except it shows no disc. I have a feeling the laser is shot.

It was a great drive for about a year. Question: reapair, or replace? All
my old review sites seem to be gone. Links to reviews, and advice would be
appreciated. Thanks!

new ones cost about 25 dollars round my way so who would bother with a
repair ?

Replace. A new Pioneer is $30 and a better drive than a Plextor ever was.
