Default When taping something in Flexible Record mode

When you use the Flexible Record mode to dub or tape something, does it
become voided out when you hit the stop bottom before it finishes the
nesscessary time fixed?

I am assuming you mean Flexible record on a panasonic dvd recorder?

If i am recording, say, a series of six half hour programs as there is
no three hour option on the panasonic I have to use flexible record.
For the first program I will set the flexible record for three hours,
then stop it at the end of the program (make sure you don't finalise
the disc when you remove it) then when i record the next program I set
the flexible record to 2 hours and thirty minutes, the next to two
hours etc etc etc. I am sure you can also change your mind about the
remaining space too, so, if you recorded a one hour program on a two
hour dvd and want to record a two hour program in the space remaining
you would just set the flexible record to two hours on that remaining
space.

Of course you must be aware the more you cram onto one disc the
quality will go down.
