I think shrink does remove the region code, but I can't recall if you
can choose which region you wish to replace it with.

Question is wrong.
PAL has nothing to do with region.
I assume you are region 1 in which case you will possibly be NTSC.
if you can copy the files on to something like Ulead video or even Nero you
can change the video to be NTSC from a PAL disk if that is what you want to
do. or shrink can remove all region coding and leave it as PAL.
A better idea is for you to tell us what you really want to do and we can
advise properly.

Hey...thanks for the help.
The disc was labeled as Pal Region 2 when I ordered it, but I just
received it yesterday and its NTSC Region 1......so all is well.
And yes, the reason I was asking is my friends can't play Pal discs.
