put slideshow on CD to play on DVD player - how?

Hi
I have made a slideshow with windows movie maker (wmm) & I would like
to put it on CD, rather than DVD, (it's only 12 minutes) to play on a
standalone DVD player

Any CDs I have made with wmm will play on the PC but NOT on a DVD
player

How do I record a CD to play on a DVD player?
Should I use another program to make the slideshow?

I imagine it depends on the player, but mine does fine
playing .jpg files. So you could look for something
that produces them. First, though, look at the manual
(available from the manufacturer's website if you lost
yours) to see what it promises to play.
