Mind if I pick your brains a minute? Sometimes I can rip dvd's and
sometimes I can't and I don't know the reason. I live in the United
States and rent dvd movies. Alot of them I can rip using dvdshrink,
but sometimes when it analyzes, it will stop half way through and
that's it. Sometimes I can use dvdfab and get the job done but it
also will give me an error message at times. What causes this?
When I do get an iso file ripped I use Roxio dvd creator to burn the
movie to a disc.
What causes some of the dvds to not rip and some to rip just fine?
Is there a program that will rip every dvd?
Btw, I'm not too knowledgeable in technical terms

One possibility is a physically damaged disc. This is especially true of
rental discs that have been beat around by who knows. If a scene in a movie
stutters, or skips while playing in your set top box or your PC, chances are
the disc is either dirty or damaged. Try cleaning the disc first. Also, when
ripping, you should be able to choose 'Skip Errors', or 'Ignore Errors'.
Some pieces of the movie may not copy correctly, but most of it should be
ok.
