Hi
I got Pirates of the Caribbean at world's end for Christmas and want
to make a copy.
I have used AnyDVD, DVD shrink and DVDFab Decrypter and each time the
copy has a naration over the top explaing what is happening, even
explaining the Disney and Jerry Brockenheimer logos
I was aware that disney films had stronger encryption, but haven't
come across this one before

This has nothing to do with encryption. It has to do with which
soundtrack is the default.
Use either anydvd or dvdfab to rip the dvd to hard disk, then use dvd
shrink to remove the commentary soundtrack.
Your description reads as if the DVD has a DVS track
(descriptive video service for the visually impaired). Check
the box the DVD came in, there should be a DVS logo.
DVS can be turned off by your DVD player. It defaults to ON,
because it is a DVS video.
