I have a DVR from my cable company...so there is no hard copy of what I
recorded..I lost everything when their first DVR..kicked the bucket..If
I'm watching something that was DVR recorded can I copy that onto a VCR
tape?

as long as there is an output of some sort on the DVR then it should
be a simple matter of hooking the two up together and making sure the
VCR is set to the correct input.
Yes, if the DVR has an RF or composite output. Most VCRs don't have S-Video or component inputs, which you should normally use for good video.

In the UK it tends to be scart to scart, though the rest are thrown in
for fun and confusion too :O)
