Default DVDs on a HDTV from a connected PC (DVI or VGA) vs. from a DVD player (HDMI connection)

I have a few questions regarding viewing DVDs on a HDTV from a
connected PC (DVI or VGA) vs. from a DVD player (HDMI connection).
Is there any difference in quality at all?
