Default DVDirect, VRD-MC5

I just purchased a Sony DVDirect, VRD-MC5, "Multi-Function" DVD
Recorder.

Works great from my Canon DV Camcorder, or from memory sticks (for
slide-shows).

Of course, with 8 grandchildren, I have literally thousands of
photographs already transferred from memory stick to my hard-drive.

I can't find a way, and Sony "support" says it can't be done, but has
anyone figured out how to trick this recorder into recording stuff
directly from a hard-drive?

Thanks!

The VRD-MC5, like my ancient VRD-VC10 should behave just like a standard
external PC burner while hooked to the PC.

manuelwawa is on a distinguished road
Default Sony VRD MC-5

The best thing to do is reload the photos on an inexpensive compact flash drive the put it in the slot on the side. I did this and I was able make a slide show on DVD. The thing is the slideshow with music takes along time to render or in easy speak format once the pics are on the DVD.

email at manuelwawa@excite.com for easier communication.

Best,

Walter
