Default DVD recorder to computer

Hi
I can't play DVD's from my DVD recorder on my computer. They playback fine
on the recorder but no chance on the computer.
Any ideas welcome.
Thanks

Have you finalised the discs? To play them on a machine other than the
one they are written on they must be finalised, unless they are +RW or
DVD-RAM.

There should be an option to do this on your recorder.

weird. I suppose it's silly to ask if the computer's drive is
compatible with the discs? plus have you tried more than one program
to play the recordings?

Here's another question for the OP (triggered by your question): is the
player on the computer a DVD player or is it, by chance, CD-only?

OP, have you played manufactured DVDs satisfactorily on your computer?

BTW, SWQ, I cordially suggest you cross-post instead of (wasting
everyone's time, including yours, by) multiposting.
