Default DVD access to Region 2 Disc

Hi
Ia am new to this group but my son,Daughter-in-law and offspring will
be vistiting soon, and I would like to be able have the kids DVD's play
on my Panasonic ED20. My Daughter in law said there was a code we could
puinch into the DVD player to allow it to play European Discs.
Question-- is that correct and if so, where can I find the proper code?

Thanks,

**Do you mean es20? I couldn't find an ed20. Here's a site where you
can go take a look:

Normally, the big brands aren't easily hacked if they are hackable at
all.

But will you be able to view them? PAL and NTSC are two different
standards.

**This is true. Just because the region code can be changed, it
doesn't mean it can do the PAL to NTSC conversion. If you look at what
has to be done to make the es20 region free, I wouldn't even bother,
honestly.

Twere me, I'd rush out and buy a cheap Phillips that plays both
PAL and NTSC out of the box and can be easily hacked to be region
free.
