Default difference

whats the difference between + and - dvds that you can buy? I've always
bought the - type At this point they have always worked for me when I copy a
DVD.

Apparently not a lot nowadays, except compatibility with some devices.
+R used to be the faster by quite a bit. I think the -R dual layer are
harder to come by too.

I'd say now it is really whatever floats your boat but if you have a
device which takes only one of them obviously there wouldn't be a lot
of point trying to load the other format into it.
