Audio on DVD Menus

I am creating a DVD with a menu using Nero 6. The videos
on the DVD each have audio, and the DVDs have been created from
importing .avi files. I want to have music playing while
the menu is displayed.

When I import a .mp3 file to play over the menu, the sound
is way louder than the audio on the videos.

How can I control the audio level on the avi/vob files
or on the mp3 file??

'mp3gain' will enable you to reduce the mp3 volume.
