Default Womble - black frames in output monitor

I'm using Womble MPEG Video Wizard (DVD), October release. I'm sure
this didn't happen with the previous version. When I display
the output monitor full screen, initially it is empty (black). I have
to click space or an arrow key to get the clip to show. And then when
I go back to the normal mode from full screen, the output monitor is
black there too.

Can another Womble user check this out for me please?

Same thing happens to me. Don't know why.

I also have the added problem of Womble MPEG Video Wizard freezing up
frequently and having to be
shut down (Ctrl-Alt-Del). It works for a few minutes then freezes up when I
click on any button or on
the timeline. Does not save any changes made even though I click on the Save
button.
To save any current changes I need to click Save then close the program down
before
it freezes up, and then start it again.
This is a new problem. Program worked OK until recently.

Just had a look - no I have no trouble of the kind you mentioned. In fact I have
as yet no criticism of the Womble system.

I've reverted back to the April version.

I've reported both this and the Fade problem and had a prompt "thanks
for report".

I have reinstalled the July 07 version. Working OK too.

What was the "Fade" problem, Terry?
Is this where the picture sort of pixellated on some transitions?
I had this problem in one of my recent videos.

Ah, I'd forgotten that there was yet another release after April.
Maybe I'll install July. Can you identify any improvements over April?

No, it's the fact that there *is* no Fade transition! See my posts in
the thread 'Aviation related Videos created with Windows Movie
Maker.', Wed, 28 Nov 2007
news:ur5qk39cnev6dk1ul38holp5sjuu4seab2@4ax.com

Womble's Fade is a duplicate of Blend. So the single most important
transition for me (which I call 'Fade', and expect to be a
fade-out-to-black and fade-in-from-black) is missing in the list of 47
transitions.

Thanks Terry.

I did not detect any improvements over the April version, but maybe other
users did.

I re-did my video of a friend's wedding today using the July version and it
fixed the transition problem. In the November version some of the
transitions tended to pixelate. Looked really terrible, not professional.
In the past three weeks I re-did the whole video many times over using the
November version, hoping each time it would correct the bad transitions.
The frustation finally came to an end today by reinstalling the July
version!
The latest version would also freeze up.

Yes, that latest version doesn't exactly demonstrate much evidence of
thorough testing!

I'll stick with April for time being, unless you or anyone else comes
up with anything special in the July release.

Hi, How do I auto add chapters, or do I have to scroll the timeline and do
manually?
