I'm looking for a tool that will allow me to sync/resync an m2v and
ac3 file. I d/l an avi movie that came in two parts, cd1 & cd2. I
combined the two parts using virtualdubmod. Unfortunately I wasn't
smart enough at the time to convert the vbr audio to cbr audio prior
to joining so the resulting avi and eventual DVD produced video out of
sync with the audio.
I no longer have the avi so I am unableto recreate an in sync avi
using VDM. I do have VOB files which I demuxed to get the m2v and ac3
files.
I have been to videohelp.com but was unable to locate a program to do
what I want. Since I conbined two avi files I believe the out of sync
amount is not uniform throughout the movie.
Perhaps it isn't possible to do what I want. The only good thing
abiut this problem is I have since learned how to convert vbr to cbr
prior to joining avi files.

If you still have the DVD or the VIDEO_TS folder on
your hard drive, then the latest "TVSuite" version of www.VideoReDo.com can "Open Title from a DVD...".
Once loaded there are several tools to adjust sync., but
you should try the Quickfix first, as there may still be valid
sync data in both streams.
