Doesnt seem to be any word on when this slingcatcher will be made
available either.. has anyone else heard? Or is there another device
which will do the same thing...

That does look nice, but my HTPC on my Gigabit LAN
has been working fine for some time now. I have a 750GB
media drive on the HTPC that is faster than my old Buffalo
TeraStation, but I have no problem playing any video off
either one.

I may end up doing a similar thing for now with mine.. i've punched a
hole through the wall from my office to the living room.. putting on
an 5 port RCA with HDMI on each end.. i'm going to feed the DVI to
HDMI cable to my HD tv and use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse in the
other room to queue up things.. should work out fine, cept for the
kludgyness of keyboard and mouse.
