Default Novice Question On DVD Compression

I have several older DVD's that I recorded 3 or 4 years ago that I
heavily compressed (using DVD Shrink) to get them on one DVD. Is it
possible to "uncompress" these (the quality is not great) so I could
re-copy them on Duel Layer DVD's? If this is not the right group to
ask this question, I'd appreciate info on a better one.

No, once the data is lost, there's no getting it back. If you
uncompressed it, all you'd have is a bigger copy with the same exact
picture.
