nero 8

I have a problem that i hope someone can help me with. I use Nero 8 on
convert files to nero digital MP4 for storage. Since i updated to the newest
version of nero 8, a week or so ago, i can no longer use the AVC format in
recode. It gets to 100% and 1 second remaining and errors.Out of 25 plus
attempts, I got it to work 1 time. I really don't want to use the standard
format if i don't have too.
I have tried all the different AVC formats, (from hd-tv, cinema, etc...).
They all do the same thing.
Anybody else hear about this problem or have a suggestion?

I should add on to this, i'm running XP Pro with service pack 2 and all
updates.
I also found it only happens at the end of the 2nd pass, if I use 1 pass, it
doesn't error at all.
