Default Nero 6 DVD-R burn problem

I have Nero 6 with latest update. It will write to a DVD RW but will not
write to a DVD-R. Perhaps the InCD programme is blocking it ?
Using NEC 2510A

Anyone else had this problem ?

Thanks

Stef

I use mine with DVD+R all the time. I don't use InCD or packet
writing in general, and InCD has a reputation for messing things up.

You might want to check out a Firmware update for the drive, but
it should work with Nero 6. (I just made a few DVD+Rs using
Nero 6 to confirm some issues raised in another thread, but I seldom
use the bloated thing [and then only the Burning ROM application]
for normal burning.)

You should find something newer than the 2.F8 firmware that I
have on my NEC ND-2510A.

Luck;
Ken

Try something from here:

http://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/burn

perhaps the best liked:

http://www.videohelp.com/tools/ImgBurn

That will at least let us know if Nero is to blame.

You should try some other media/blank disks.
You might try a DVD+R disk if you know someone
who uses them. (It's hard to buy just one.)

Luck;
Ken
