Default How do I add "scenes"?

I have transferred a vhs tap to DVD. How can I give this disc more
functionality by adding "scenes". This is a video of open tunings on guitar
and it would be great to go to the section on "open "G"" or "DADGAD As I
want to do that rather than fast forwarding. Does anyone know how to do
this? is this software specific? If so please recommend so software titles.

Thanks.

A program like TMPGEnc DVD Author will do what you want. You can edit,
add chapter stops (scenes) and create a nice menu.

TMPGEnc DVD Author is functional, but pretty spartan on the creative
tools I'm guessing the poster woud like. Anything like Corel Ulead
VideoStudio 11.5 Plus, or a Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 Suite would
provide everything you need to make a fairly fancy DVD. For that
matter, even Nero 8 Ultra Edition would do the job nicely (although
it's buggy as hell once you get into the creative stuff).

TMPGEnc DVD Author is an authoring program. The creative
tools are editing tools; for stills that can range from the free Gimp2
to Photoshop. For background video you would use any video
editor including those you have listed. In general, the DVD
authoring features of an editing package are not as good as the
dedicated DVD Authoring programs.

The appearance of DVD menus can be dictated by templates
or other set features of the Authoring software, whether an add-on
to an editing program or a dedicated program. Or, programs like
TMPGEnc DVD Author will let you replace the components of the
menu with video and audio of your own making, using tools designed
for the job.

Luck;
Ken

P.S. the Roxio and Nero products are not ones I would have listed.
Exposing any video to NeroVision is a form of abuse.
