Default SONY DVD Recorder RDR-HX715

Hi everyone,

I had the hard drive of my Sony DVD recorder replaced with another
blank one. I need to copy the video materials from the old HD to the
new one, I'm planning to connect the two hard drives to my computer
USB ports, using a HD enclosure cases. so my questions are:

1- What is the file system of the files on the hard drives? Windows/
Unix compatible or some other format?
2- I learned from Sony repair center that there are some steps needed
to unplug then plug the hard drive, something related to the setup and
entering the HD serial number! but they declined to give details.

If you have any experience with this, I would greatly appreciate your
help.

Regards,

Moor

I do not know, but I would bet it's FAT32 and Linux.
