Default DVD R/VCR Combo- copy tape?

Got a Samsung DVD VR330 combo DVD recorder/VCR. Is there a way to copy a VCR
tape to a DVD on it?

The samsung site says

"DVD-VR330
Samsung's Combo Recorders let you convert treasured VHS tapes to DVD
at the touch of a button—or vice versa—and record TV broadcasts in
either format. "

The site also has a pdf manual if you don't have one yourself (Over
5mb download!).
http://tinyurl.com/2bwlmq

The instructions for copying are in the left panel under recording,
it's the last option "copying to dvd or vcr"

There is a quite detailed instruction but also for a straight VCR to
DVD copy it says

insert VHS tape you wish to copy
insert recordable dvd disc
press dvd copy button on front or remote control (to dvd)
to stop recording press stop

Thanks for the very comprehensive response. I had originally looked on the
Samsung website and couldn't find anything about that model...

You're welcome Bob. I kind of came at it from a different angle,
looking for details on the machine then found a link to the manual on
the page for the machine.
