I recently purchased an HP c5280 printer for printing directly to
dvds. It does indeed print to them, however I am not really pleased
with the quality.
I have read posts of people using Canon and Epsons for labeling.
Anyone have any experience with epson or canon over the hp? i have had
epson products before with mixed reviews, particularly cartridge
clogging and excessive ink usage and some alignment issues.
This printer mainly would be used for inkjet labeling.

I don't use HP printer, but I use the old Epson Photo 900 to print DVD
label. And I don't think there will be much difference for you to either
happy or sad.
And by the design of Inkjet Printable CD/DVD the quality should be good, I
have printed over 4000 DVDs with this discontinued printer and still
kicking. Also, I only use inkjet for DVD label printing.
That's about all I can say, and whatever the problem you have or why you
are not happy with yours then we won't know if you won't tell <bg>
