Default Downloaded TV show;now what?

Please excuse my ignorance, but this is my first time trying this.

I downloaded via Torrent an episode of a TV show that I had missed.
Download was in .avi format. Would someone please be kind enough to
tell me the steps I need to take to enable this show to be watched on
a TV set? I have WinMPG if it needs to be converted and a DVD burner.
Thanks.

Did some research in alt.binaries.multimedia and found someone who had
asked a very similar question. Answers to him led me to a program
called ConvertxtoDVD. (If anyone would like this cracked program, let
me know and I'll post it). This program converted my .avi file and
simultaneously burned it to DVD. Works like a charm!!

Depending on whether your dvd player will play .avi files, just record
it (them) as data.
My Phillips plays them in sequence.

If you want it to be in dvd format, I use ConvertXTo DVD and also
convert a PAL source .avi to NTSC. It is updated often.

There is a ConvertX forum at
http://forums.vso-software.fr/conver...nglish-f3.html.

buddy b,

Good to hear from you again! It's been a long time since you've
helped me out.

Thanks very much for the info. You must have missed my follow up
response to my post. I did find a reference to ConvertXToDVD in
a.b.multimedia. Downloaded it, converted & burned DVD at same time
(great program!) and watched the two hours of "The Company" I had
missed! Thanks again for helping.

Didn't say I'd post it "here". Nothing says I can't post a pointer to
another group here though. :-)

Hey, JJ.
It has been several years since we posted in 15000 lines that fit on a
floppy and d/led with a 28k baud modem.
And, people posted in the correct group so you didn`t have to read every
group.

buddy b
