You can use FixVTS on your ripped files and then see if DVD Shrink
or Nero Recode let you shrink it.

Download FixVTS here
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...ols/fixvts.cfm

Here is a small tutorial about FixVTS

RipIt4Me actually runs FixVTS as part of the process. As an added
benefit,
it can be set to force a disc to jump straight to the main menu rather
than
play all the previews, etc.

Something doesn't sound right.

1. DVD-Shrink and Nero Recoder will only compress the true working DVD
structure. Or if you mess something up then they will refuse to
shrink/compress. Because they skrink/compress a working DVD to DVD-5

2. RIP is another story, it will modify/change the DVD structure to make it
fit onto DVD-5, or you won't have the original Menu.
