Default Ping Ken Maltby TIA

Ken, what software would I use to bring a DVD back into sync sound/
video-wise? And what would the best format to have the subject video
in to do this? Avi/mpeg/ etc?
TIA for any tips.

If we are talking about ordinary SD DVDs, that conform to
the DVD standards, then the video is most likely MPEG2.
www.videoredo.com is my preferred tool for that. There
are a number of other programs that can "re-mux" the audio
and video streams, as does VideoReDo, allowing for a
permanent correction. You will need to author and burn a
new DVD disk, to have a corrected version of what you
started with.

Many software media players include the ability to adjust
the playback of the streams. The DirectShow filters include
several that allow such adjustments. (Ac3filter or ffdshow
for example)

Luck,
Ken
