Default Review of Kodak 5300 and a question

These folks have the first of a multi-part review of the Kodak 5300
printer;

http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRINT/K5300/K5300.HTM

All the 5xxx series printers include a scanner. It's sold as an
all-in-one. The scanner bit wasn't significant to me but that review
has this as one step in the setup;

Calibrating the Printer. The LCD will tell you the printer has to be
calibrated and what to do about it (press the Start button). Oddly,
the calibration image is printed on 4x6 photo paper.

Once printed, you place it face down aligned to the front right
corner of the scanner glass and lower the scanner lid. Then press
Start again to scan the target and calibrate the scanner.

(this is done before teh prnter is connected to a compuer, so it's all
internal logic.)

Does this mean that the printer can effectively make adjust for paper
and ink to make it's photoshop profile dead-on? I assume it has, or
will have a PS profile.
