Replaced Lens assembly - now "compatible battery error?"

Hello,

I just replaced the lens unit on a Sony DSC-W70. Now, when I start up
the camera, I get a "use only with a compatible battery" error
message. I am using the same battery as I was before. Any ideas?
Perhaps I ******* something up during the replacement? Thanks,
