Default Recommend a add-on flash unit

My camera has a hot shoe and I would like to hear recommendations on
installing a flash unit (to eliminate red eye, etc). Most of my
picture taking involved taking pictures of things (ebay), but I
photograph people a lot too (family). So I want something that would
reduce glare and red eye etc. Something decent, but not fancy.

thanks

As long as it works automatically with your camera for metering etc.
Swivel head is nice for bounce.

I second the swivel head. Great for creative lighting and reducing red
eye.

Bounce flash works great indoors with modest room sizes and neutral ceilings
.... no more red eye!

Get a flash that can swivel for bounce.
