Just over three years ago I bought a Canon Powershot A85 and recently
the screen started becoming unstable in shoot mode but the photos were
OK and review mode was stable. Then the photos became corrupted - poor
colour and horizontal lines. This failure after only three years is
very disappointing. Is this a typical lifetime for digital Canons?

I have the exact same problem with my Canon Powershot A85. Mine died
on me about a year ago so mine lasted a total of about 2 years. That
is the only digital camera I have that died of about 10 I have owned
or own. I don't think it's typical of Canon but I replied to this
because maybe it's a problem with this model?

Of the ten digital cameras you've had which do you rate most highly?
