Now that I have a better idea of what you were asking, sometimes
Nikon and other manufacturers put different model names or numbers
on cameras sold in different markets. When they don't, you could
try to get the serial number and I assume that if Nikon's tech.
support was asked, could tell you at least whether the camera might
qualify for Nikon's warranty or non-warranty service in the UK.
