PC Inspector is a popular free software for file recovery.
I've used it to recover deleted files including those from
partitions that have been full formatted. I have not used it
on memory cards but I don't think it'd be any different.
The important thing is to NOT do anything with the card until
the file is recovered. Scan for deleted files and save them
to your hard disk, not to the card itself. The URL is

Successfully used Zero Assumption Recovery (ZAR) on several occasions

You can try those suggested, but for freeware I've found: http://vaiosoft.com/products/recoverymanager.html
to be very good. No harm in using more than one but generally I've found
if one works, so do others.
