Default Forget conventional P&Ss, and odious cellphone cams

Where is the Minox sized digital, 4-5 megapixel, 1/1.8" sensor and (at
most) a fixed lens of about 35mm equivalent focal length, with 1 G
internal memory?

Marketers pandering to the unwashed always find a way to cheapen a
product.

Not a lot in the case of the "replica" Minox shown here, but
on the discontinued Epson RD-1 rangefinder body it resets
the focal plane shutter (same as in a film camera) to
eliminate the need for a motor to do the job.
