Default film scanner

i have a Plustek Opticfilm 7200 film scanner. I am not having too much
luck with it. i cannot seem to get the colour in the negatives that i
hace scanned. I have read many reviews on it and everybody seem to be
having good luck with it. The colour just does not seem to be there
even working it through the siverfast software. maybe i am doing
something wrong.
i bought a bed scanner and i seem to be getting much better results
with it.
was wondering if there could be something wrong with the negative
scanner.

I don't use Silverfast, and this may be stating the obvious, but are
you selecting the media correctly and then the negative brand/type, or
using white balance settings? Removing the colour mask and then
inverting the image is a difficult thing to do well, so everything
needs to be going right.

Perhaps you should visit www.hamrick.com and see if Vuescan supports
this scanner? If it does, I think Ed still offers a trail version, so
you could see if his software can do better. If all else fails,
contact Plustek direct or return the scanner if still under warranty.
Also, try posting this on comp.periphs.scanners
