You have been unlucky, dpreview does go down for brief periods when they're
re-indexing their database.
Could be your ISP's DNS server is junk. Try a different one such as OpenDNS
(see www.opendns.com) in your TCP/IP settings. There's plenty of others if
you search.
I had a problem accessing about half the usual sites I go to recently and
that was fixed by reducing my MTU settings to 1430. Strange, as higher
settings used to work OK, so I figure something on the net is faulty in my
area. Again, if you search you'll get plenty of info on this one. I know
AOL users are supposed to use 1400 in the U.K. for these sort of reasons.
