Maybe it's a bit different where they use your funny money but here in the
states I tell people to go to a place they like to shop which also sells
cameras and get an idea of which camera is in your budget and which looks
nice to you (maybe a big LCD, small enough to fit in a pocket, etc).

Then go to www.dpreview.com or search google for reviews and do a little
research on the two or three you liked before making a decision. If you have
question about the features ask in the dpreveiw forums or here.
