Having bought one SD600 lately, I have noticed minor grains in the LCD
while focusing or previewing through LCD. But, playing the photos
(after shoot), in LCD provides nice preview. Is it a known issue? or
Am I missing any settings? (I tried factory setting too). TIA

I would appreciate any inputs on this even though it is not Canon
specific. TIA

In live view mode, the sensor gain is set high so you can see the subject on
the screen when you are inside or when there is little light so you may
notice some noise on the screen. It looks like the static on a television
screen when the signal is weak. Shooting the picture allows the sensor to
shoot at less gain and perhaps use of noise reduction to clean up the image.

I appreciate the reply. Glad to know that it's normal behavior. I
was thinking something is wrong with my camera. Thanks gain.
