Canon Powershot A570 IS question

Hi. I have the image stabilization feature (IS) set to continuous and
the annoying hand icon appears on the right hand side of the lcd's
display. Any way to get rid of the hand icon but still be in continous
setting?

Don't know about the Canon, but on most half-decent cameras you can get rid
of ALL the screen icons through the set-up screen.
