Default Writing Files to CD in command line?

Is there someplace that I can put files to get
them onto a CD?

Rather than ``copying'' them to the D: drive first
and then invoking the wizard to write them.

Ideally I'd like to do it all from a command line
and not have any mouse operations. Mouse
operations require me to hang around; command line
operations mean I can just come back later and see
what happened.

I believe that a lot of free burning software can
be run from the command line. (Probably not
to full functionality, but maybe rather close to it.)

Also, at least some linux software is likely to have
been ported. Example: I found this by Googling -

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=627414

It reports a port of "cdrecord," which is a pretty
good tool. (It looks like that this does not require
Cygwin to be installed. Btw, with Cygwin you can
run a whole bunch of Linux tools.) In case you are
doing more research on "cdrecord" note that it is
now called "cdrtools."

I am nearly certain that there is a lot more, and I
think I vaguely recall some very good free (native
Windows) burners that had command line modes.
Let me know if you can't find them, I can go through
my records.

Hope this helps ... ?
