Default Windows MCE Ehtray Prevents Screen Saver From Starting

It also affects other power settings. I've disabled it in msconfig,
but of course the process runs whenever I start Media Center, and
remains running until the next reboot. If I want to disable ehtray
after a Media Center has been closed, I have to do so via the task
manager.

It's a well known problem, so I thought someone may have a workaround,
but google couldn't help.

Has anyone got a workaround? If ehtray is only needed if you have
remote control, I don't, so I'd be willing to uninstall/delete the
program for good, but I don't know if the Law of Unintended
Consequences would bite me.

Thanks

It should only disable the screen saver IF the MCE UI is open.
