Windows explorer does not see my flash drive anymore
Hi everybody,
After I plug in my USB flash drive, I do not see it in Windows
explorer (with Windows XP). Everything used to work fine, I used to
plug my flash drive and play, the symptoms appeared just two days ago.
I restarted my computer, but it did not alleviate the problem. I tried
to plug my flash drive into a different USB port, but it did not solve
the problem. In the Control Panel, MS Windows sees the flash drive
though.
Also, I do not see my external hard drive in Windows explorer anymore.
Re: Windows explorer does not see my flash drive anymore
probably the drive letter that it used to be got used by another device.
go into disk management (right click on my computer, and go to manage)
and then look at the drives that are listed.
you may need to right click on it and change its drive letter to a
different letter.

Re: Windows explorer does not see my flash drive anymore
awwwh shucks.
i just see that problem regularly.
I'm learning as much as i'm giving.
I get to see the problems that my regular customers dont see, and store
that in my databank (brain) for when they do....
only problem is, i need a severe memory upgrade!

The "CRSS" (can't remember s*** society).
I'm convinced that if I could just defrag my brain I'd be all the better for
it. The stuff is up there somewhere, it's just locating it sometimes.....
