Default will 2.5 ide external hd enclosure work with sata hd from my 640m? TIA

vista wil not boot after i mess with partition magic 8.5 so now i need
to get a external enclosure to copy important files beore reinstall
vista again. since the hd is sata drive, will the ide enclosure work
with it? TIA

No. You need an external enclosure that supports a SATA drive.
