Vostro Notebook opinions

I'm looking to buy a Vostro 1500 notebook. They seem to have a good
price on them now. A couple questions,thinking Core 2 Duo T7100 1.8 chip
option, will this run to hot. And either the XGA screen or Truelife, can
I have the pros and cons on the screen choice.
