I wonder what you can learn by watching a specific configuration for a while.
The point of fluctuating prices is to catch those who don't care or can't
be bothered with a higher price, while still selling to the economizers
at the low points. All the prices are profitable.

you're finally catching on.
dell plays games with prices and configurations weekly if not sometimes
daily. everything is called a "sale". it all comes down to the bottom
line for what you're getting.
you do have to watch the listings for a few months and you will see the
cycle.
by the way, those 10 days of dell deals were the biggest joke i've seen.
the prices were terrible. and while they ran that, they kept the
other prices inflated, as some of you noted.
just be patient and wait till the configuration you want comes on sale.
it will cycle again.
