Default Vista discs included with new Dells?

I know this question comes up often, but I wanted an update from those who
have purchased new Dells recently. I'm considering getting a new Dimension
E520 or E521 to replace my wife's aging Dimension 4400. I can't see where
Dell offers a choice to get the operating system and resource discs when
customizing a system on their web site. I did look at the owners manuals for
these 2 machines and see that they still have the hidden restore partition
but I like to have the discs too.

Both my Vista laptop and deskto came with the Vista disks. They also
came with a driver disk which I don't use -- I get the latest drivers
from the Dell site. If there's a reason, I go to the support site of
the product (such as video card) to get the latest driver, but usually
the ones on Dell's website are fine. I don't remember why, but I
needed to get an updated driver from ATI's site recently.

Since last October, Dell has been including OS media (CD or DVD) with
every system. Prior to that, you had to order it, it was $10 extra, and
lots of people missed that checkbox on the order form (although, it's
probably true that most people probably never used those discs, or lose
them before they would use them).

Dell always sent me the CD's for free if I forgot to check the box.
